ABOUT
ALONSO JULIÁN

Alonso Julián pours his heart and soul into crafting compositions that captivate and move every listener. His devotion to music shines through in every melody, each note a testament to his deep passion. With each composition, he seeks to evoke profound thought and stir the hearts of all who are touched by his music.

Born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Alonso Julián's musical journey began at the tender age of 7 under the guidance of private tutors, laying the groundwork for his formal education. At the age of 14, he entered the prestigious Monterrey School of Music and Dance, a pivotal moment marking the commencement of their formal training, culminating in their graduation in 2005.

Alonso honed his piano artistry under the tutelage of esteemed mentors such as Bernard Flavigny from France, Laura Sosa representing Mexico, and the soulful teachings of Ileana Bautista from Cuba.

His journey as a composer was enriched by luminaries including José Luis Wario Díaz, Eduardo Caballero, and Victor Rasgado Flores. Particularly impactful was his collaboration with Victor Rasgado Flores, delving into various courses on 20th-century musical composition techniques, Concert Music composition, and the enchanting realm of "The Harmony of Numbers".

In addition to his compositional pursuits, he delved into the importance of dialogue between composers and instrumentalists through courses led by English masters Aaron Shorr and Peter Sheppard. Exploring the intricate realm of Jazz Harmony under the guidance of Claudio Tarris from Argentina and Alejandro Corona from Mexico. Also diving into the world of Latin Jazz with Odalys Villavicencio from Cuba.
